Gibbon PLUG & PLAY Solutions are designed to facilitate educators so that they can grow their business with ease. With Gibbon, educators have the option of selecting and paying only for the ‘solutions’ which they need, in the form of optional ‘Add-On’ purchases. ‘Dynamic Test Creation (DTC)’ is one such Add-On.

Gibbon’s Dynamic Test Creation (DTC) Add-On allows the client to create a test by selecting and merging questions from various existing tests as per their requirement. The client has the full authority to select the duration, sections, marking, and questions included in the test. Sections can also be made optional if the client wants so. The complete guide to Gibbon’s Dynamic Test Creation facility is given below.

NOTE:

This is a ‘paid’ Add-On of Gibbon, unlocked on subscription.

Prerequisites

  • Clients must have ‘Admin Access’ to the portal/website.
  • Clients must have activated the Add-On service for the portal/website.

The steps to avail the facility are given below:

STEP 1: Access the Admin Panel

The first step is to access the admin portal. For this just type the URL of the Whitelabel site, and Log in using Admin Credentials.

After successful login, the silence name would be visible on the same spot for ‘login button’. Click on it & select ‘Admin Panel’ Option.

STEP 2: Create New Categories (Optional)

Create New Level 3 or Level 4

If the client feels that the test to be created through DTC warrants a new ‘Level’ they can create new Level 3 & Level 4 through Categories Option. Otherwise they can directly skip to the next step, STEP 3 below.

Levels define where the content would be visible on the website or app, and the specific tests that could be accessed. Gibbon supports 4 levels – Level 0, Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, Level 4. Out of which Level 3, & Level 4 can be created by the client.

Remember: Only Level 3 and Level 4 can be created by the client. For creating Level 0, Level 1, and Level 2, please avail the New Exam Addition/New L0 Addition facility.

See below on how to add levels.

STEP 3: Dynamic Test Creation

Dynamic Test Creation Process involves defining the details of the test, and assigning questions to the test. Each process is described in detail below.

Define New Test Details

First access the add-on page through the path given below.

Path: Dashboard > Content > Personal Content > Dynamic Test

Here the client would be able to decide where, will the test be visible, what would be its duration, how many sections would it contain, and its marking scheme. Clients can also provide optional sections in their test. The process is as follows:

  • Define Level of the test

If the client has created new Levels in the previous level, they would be visible now.

  • Select Language.

You can select multiple languages by holding the Ctrl Key while clicking on the languages. Remember to ensure that the language of the test matches the language of the questions added.

  • Enabling Sectional Timing

Select this option if the test needs to have separately timed sections. Upon selecting this option, the Test Duration would be forfeited.

  • Add Section

This allows creation of sections in the test. Clients can add as many sections as they want by clicking the ‘Add Section’ button.

The newly added section would appear below.

You can add the section name, decide the marking scheme for the section, and decide on the sectional timing if the option for the same has been enabled previously.

Click on the Next button to proceed to the next process of adding questions to the test.

Add Questions to the Test

  • Select the exam, and the section (through Levels) from where the questions will be extracted.
  • Based on the selection, different questions would be visible below. Click on the checkbox to include the section.
