Here are the notable updates to our services in the month of July 2023.
YouTube Live Streaming in Android App
With the integration of YouTube Streaming into the Android App, clients can now ‘use’ YouTube LIVE Streaming sessions for their LIVE Class Courses. They just have to provide the URL for the YouTube LIVE Stream while scheduling a class under a LIVE Class Course.
To create a YouTube Live Stream:
WL Admin/Live Classes > Courses > Details > Youtube Live Streaming Checkbox > YouTube LIVE Streaming URL
Sell E-Library Courses through Direct Android App Link
You can now share links for the purchase of E-Library Courses on the Android App! The feature has been introduced to increase the sales opportunities for the clients, as the link can be used to market a specific course on Blogs, Social Media Posts, or directly to a student.
Opening the link would redirect to the E-Book Course Page on the Android App, where the course can be purchased. In case the user has already purchased the course, the link would redirect to its content.
The link will be generated from Admin Panel : Courses > E -Library> Share Icon on Right
Upload Desktop Banners for LIVE Class Courses
Clients can now upload desktop versions of banner images in addition to mobile versions, providing them with greater flexibility when creating a live class course. Banners can be previewed by simply clicking on the visible banner in the Existing Live Class Courses.
- For the best display, EduGorilla recommends the desktop banner image of the size 1920 x 300 pixels.
- Clients can now preview the full banners of the LIVE Class Course by simply clicking on the banner shown under the Course Details section
- Clients can also update/remove the banner image for their existing courses by selecting the Edit Course Details Option
Android App Theme Customization
Clients can customize the colors scheme on their android app by picking a suitable theme. The feature can be activated simply by contacting EduGorilla Sales/Support Executives. The feature would let clients change:
- Icon Colour
- Button Background Colour
- Button Text Colour
- Heading Text Colour
- Description Text Colour
- Drawer Menu Colour
- Drawer Menu Text Colour
Once enabled the option would be available under:
WL admin panel > Customization > App Customization
Note: This feature is not available to clients by default, they have to get it activated by contacting EduGorilla Sales/Support Executives
Introducing Access Roles: Now Grant and Restrict Access to the Admin Panel
Now clients themselves can grant and modify access to their portal. The required number of ‘Sub-Admin Access Roles’ have to be requested by contacting EduGorilla Sales/Support Executives. After which clients would be able to assign three different ‘Access Levels’ – Admin, Teacher, and Live Class Instructor to the desired users. (See Access Roles Documentation for Admin Panel)
If the Client has ‘Sub-Admin Roles’ remaining, they can assign new roles under:
WL Admin Panel > Manage Users > Edit User > Edit User Details
