We might be a tiny bit little late to bring you the latest and greatest for your business, but trust us the new improvements are worth waiting for!

With new updates to the Gibbon services you can have a (more) seamless, effortless, and hassle-free experience of scaling your business online.

Getting to the point, here are the notable updates to our services in December 2023.

Introducing Explanation Passage Editor for Questions

An single word answer to MCQs, without explanation is not all that ‘educating’ for students. We have provided a new Explanation Passage Editor for our clients, so they can expand upon their answers and enrich the learning experience of their students.

Disable Shuffling of Questions in Dynamic Test Creation.

Are your questions in a chronological order?
Do you want your questions in ascending or descending order of difficulty?

We have released a feature that allows you to disable shuffling of questions in Dynamic Test creation mode. Moreover you can do it section-wise.

Create Multilingual Tests by Uploading CSV/Docs

Now create multilingual tests by uploading Docs/CSV. Previously, test creation through uploading was restricted to one language. Meaning, that the test could be created only in one language.

However with this update you can create a multilingual test using the “Import from Doc / CSV” feature.

Path : Dashboard > Content > Personal Content > Add New > Import from Doc/CSV

Dynamic Test Creation When Languages Selected are Included in Source Tests

In addition to multilanguage test creation via csv/doc upload, you can now also create multilanguage tests via Dynamic Test Creation too. Contrary to the earlier situation, when selection of such a source test was simply not possible.

From now on our clients would have the ability to create tests even if not all the languages from the source tests (tests from which the content is to be picked from) are selected to be included in the current test (made via DTC).

To simplify, as long as the languages selected for the current test are already included in the source test, a test can be created. If a single language, say English, has been selected for the current test meanwhile the source test has both English and Hindi languages, the test would be created.

Direct Web Access for E-Library PDFs

In the past, users have to scan a QR code to view E-Library PDFs in our app. With our latest update, users now have the convenience of accessing these PDFs directly on the web.

To view an E-Library PDF, users can simply click on the book icon provided. This action will seamlessly open the PDF in our user-friendly viewer, eliminating the need for additional steps or QR code scans.

As part of this update, we have introduced a full-screen button within the viewer. This feature allows users to enjoy a distraction-free reading experience by expanding the PDF to fill their entire screen.

E-Library Folder View in L2 Page

We have implemented Folder view in E-Library L2 page for the E-Library Courses which have folders in them. A brief overview of the feature is as follows:

E-Library Course with folder: Within the L2 page, when selecting a E-Library Course, users would be able to see all the available folders. Upon clicking a specific folder, a dropdown will showcase the contained E-Book

E-Library Course without folder: E-Library courses will be shown as usual.

View Video Course Study Material (PDF) Directly On the Web

Prior to this update, a barcode was required to be scanned for viewing the study material/notes attached with a video. We are delighted to share that as a part of our overhaul to E-Library features, the notes/study materials feature for Video Courses has also been upgraded. The new upgrade allows the user to view the accompanying study material directly on the page itself, through an integrated PDF viewer.

Join Live Class with a Sharable Link on the Web

Join Live Class on the web with a link . The sharable link would be available in the Admin panel.

Path: Courses > Live Class Courses > Select the desired course > Scheduled Classes

Accessibility of URL: The availability of the Live Class Share URL button is limited to ongoing or active classes, excluding those that have already ended or expired.

URL Functionality: The shared Live Class link directs users to the live class on the web. If the user isn’t logged in, they’ll be redirected to the Login page. After successful login, users are automatically joined into the live class.
Checkout Redirect: If the live class isn’t purchased or available for free, the shared URL will redirect users to the checkout page.
Platform-Specific Behavior: When accessed via Android and iOS devices, the URL follows the existing flow, redirecting users to the app.

Edit Start and End Date for an Existing Live Class

Now edit the ‘Start’ and ‘End date’ of an existing Live Class. The option would be available right on the ‘Live Class’ section of the Dashboard.

More Colour Options Available for Header and Footer

We have released a more colours for header and footer customizations. Previously, only two colour options for header and footer background color were available – Black and White. However, after this update, clients can use any color for the header and footer. Along with this, we have also provided the option for customizing text color in the header and footer.

Introducing Coupon Affiliate Feature

We have introduce yet another way to market your courses better – Coupon Affiliate Marketing. In this feature you can assign a specific or existing coupon to a particular e-mail, and then track the number of users added by him. To maintain transparency, the ‘particular’ email would also be able to view the users added by him/her.

To Enable Coupon Affiliate Feature : This a paid feature available on request. Get the feature activated by contacting EduGorilla Sales/Support Executives.

To make Coupon Affiliates : After this feature has been enabled. An email field appears in the bottom of:

WL Admin Panel > Coupons > Discount Coupons

Just enter the email of the user of whom you want to make an affiliate.

Play, Delete, and Upload Recordings in the Live Class Calendar View

Now Play, Delete, and Upload recordings in the Live Class Calendar view. After ending the scheduled class, open it in the calendar view, if a recording is available for the class then the Play and Delete button will show, otherwise the upload button will show.
